Seeks to measure changing business conditions.
The U.S. Census Bureau announced the launch last week of the Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS). This new experimental survey replaces the Small Business Pulse Survey, which measured the effect of major events, such as the coronavirus pandemic or occurrences of severe weather, on business conditions.
“BTOS will increase the scope of the Small Business Pulse Survey to include large single-location employer businesses (those with 500 or more employees), ” stated the bureau’s public information officer, Julie Iriondo. “By providing continuous data with geographic and subsector detail, BTOS will capture the impact of events like natural disasters and economic crises and assist in monitoring recovery efforts.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Director Santos as he heads the Census Bureau.
- For officials of the Census Bureau as they seek to identify and record changing business information and trends.
